Steuben
County with more than 101 lakes, creeks and navigable rivers is the mecca for outdoor
activities in the tri-state area. Hamilton Lake is the fourth largest lake in Indiana.
Hamilton Lake is a favorite among fisherman. There are large bass tournaments nearly
every weekend. The lake is known for a good selection of northern pike, small and
largemouth bass, perch, bluegill, and crappie. Speedboats, sailboats, jet skis and
water skiing are all allowed on the lake. There is a public access site where people
may launch boats for free. Two of the finest full service marinas in the county are
located on the lake providing everything you will need for your boating enjoyment.
We have boat dock facilities for our hotel guests. We have a sandy beach in front
of the hotel for our guests to lay out in the sun and go swimming. There is also
a public beach in Hamilton as well as a park with tennis courts and a hiking trail.
